Production Supervisor

Huntsman Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at our Wilton Site, within the Polyurethanes division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the shift team who carry out daily operational activities, ensuring that the highest EHS standards are maintained and that the S&OP production requirements are met through liaison with the wider Wilton organisation.
The Shift Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing a high-performing organisation and culture that maximises the contribution of the team to the achievement of Huntsman Polyurethanes business performance targets.
- Ensuring that Corporate, Business and Site Safety, Health and Environmental policies are adhered to, to meet or exceed specific performance targets in each area.
- Ensuring that assets are optimally operated to deliver the Business sales and operations plan, quality and customer service targets in each area.
- Supporting the Operations manager in developing and executing a continuous improvement programme for the Polyurethanes assets and their operation to meet agreed business objectives.
- Coaching, supporting and facilitating the improvement of skills and behaviours in the team and through the mentoring role maximising the contribution of every employee.
- Overseeing the short to medium term maintenance activities on the plant, ensuring compliance with EH&S procedures and ensuring that priorities set reflect operational needs.
- Co-ordinating and resolving significant out of hours changes to logistics arrangements or non-compliance issues with the local supply chain to ensure the smooth running of the operation and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum HNC in an appropriate technical discipline.
- Significant experience working within the chemical industry (or other highly regulated industry).
- Demonstrable experience of leading teams.
- Strong people skills and personal conviction.
- Proven ability to develop others and utilising initiative.
- Demonstrable experience in handling change.
