Portfolio Director

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Business Change Hub Team, driving transformation within Children's Services and Education. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant change project, working closely with Directors, Councillors, Heads of Service, Stakeholders, and Partners.

As Programme Manager, you will oversee the delivery of the DSG/Safety Valve recovery plan, ensuring good governance and support for identified programmes of work. You will work collaboratively with the team to ensure a coordinated approach to the programme and contribute to a joined-up approach across the council and its partnerships.

We are looking for someone with significant experience of managing complex programmes of work, a track record of delivering high-impact projects, and the ability to think creatively. You will be comfortable managing multi-disciplinary and multiple project teams to deliver organisational and cultural change.

Experience and knowledge of working within Children's Services and Education would be an advantage, particularly in the area of SEND and supporting transformational change to improve the delivery of SEND services, efficient use of financial resources, and improved outcomes for children and families.
