We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Mental Health team at HMP Stocken, a Category C male prison near Oakham. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients and delivering outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the onsite Psychologist, offering vital support to patients.
  • Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of the qualified psychologist.
  • Support the psychological care of patients throughout their journey, from reception to release planning.
  • Work within the Assessment Care in Custody Teamwork (ACCT) process and contribute towards the Challenge, Support and Intervention Plan (CSIP).
  • Monitor and provide feedback on patients' function and general mental health condition during the course of intervention, reporting and changes to the mental health team.
  • Carry out clinically related admin tasks, including audits, statistics, and research projects.
