The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality care, coupled with strong business acumen and a knack for marketing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and direction to the home's staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
- Recruiting, training, motivating, and retaining a team of skilled care professionals who are committed to delivering person-centred care.
- Ensuring that the home meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintaining excellent standards of care and support.
- Managing the home's budget, ensuring that financial targets are met and costs are effectively managed.
- Developing and implementing a well-thought-out marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the home's services to potential residents, families, and stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, and all stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns.
- Having oversight of all records to ensure that the home's administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating the home's performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Managing and mitigating risks effectively, ensuring that the home is a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
The successful candidate will require:
- Previous experience of managing a nursing home.
- A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and can work towards achieving Outstanding.
- Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families, and visitors.
- A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home.
- Enthusiasm and passion for developing high-level person-centred care.
- Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service.
