Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to lead our Luminaire Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering Sustaining Engineering and NPD projects, creating and checking CAD models and technical drawings, and performing various actions in SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Sustaining Engineering and NPD projects specifically focusing on the Luminaire range.
  • Creation and checking of CAD models and technical drawings.
  • Performing pertinent actions in SAP (Raising ECs, BOM creation etc).
  • Owning all stages of allocated projects from conception through testing, verification and launch.
  • Development of products, taking into account all aspects of user experience, technical specification and production implications.
  • Providing innovative solutions to engineering problems.
  • Work with Brand Management to develop project specification.
  • Actively involved in VOC of customers and markets.
  • Maintain reporting of project statuses and actively partake in meetings and discussions.
  • Take an active part in driving innovation and implementation of new technology in the products and the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Track record of delivering engineering projects in a high performance environment.
  • Min 5 years of experience in the design and development of lighting for industrial applications is strongly preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communicator who is capable of building relationships with key decision makers.
  • Performance driven, focused on delivering excellent results in a timely fashion and to budget.
