Job Title: Specialist Probation Practitioner - Midlands

Join the Ministry of Justice as a Specialist Probation Practitioner in the National Security Division, working with individuals who pose a high risk of serious harm to others.

About the Role

This is a specialist role within the National Security Division, requiring the management of individuals on probation who are Terrorism Act convicted, Terrorism Act risk, Critical Public Protection Cases, or Serious Organised Crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Release planning for high-risk cases using enhanced national standards.
  • Specialist case management, including completion of OASys, response plans, trigger plans, and sentence planning.
  • Sharing information and risk briefings with external agencies and partners.
  • Building and maintaining multi-agency working relationships.
  • Providing specialist support and guidance to staff on TACT/TACT connected and Terrorist risk offender management.
Requirements
  • Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/Honours Degree in Community Justice integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice.
  • Diploma in Probation Studies, Diploma in Social Work (with Probation Option), CQSW (with Probation Option).
  • Ability to achieve a Level 7 Advanced Certificate in Counter Terrorism.
Working Arrangements

The Ministry of Justice offers Hybrid Working arrangements, where business need allows. This role can be worked in the UK and not overseas.
