About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke and Neuro Therapy Team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, providing specialist rehabilitation services to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy services to patients with stroke and neurological conditions, including acute hospital experience in older people's medicine, frail elderly, neurology, and T&O.
  • Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, working alongside specialist therapists to support your development.
  • Contribute to team/service development, supporting and supervising junior therapists, students, and assistants.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans, utilizing your specialist knowledge and expertise in occupational therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and patient outcomes.

Person Specification
  • Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with Health Professions Council.
  • A levels or equivalent qualification.
  • Good standard of general education, including GCSE maths and English grade C and above.
  • Evidence of CPD, including recent postgraduate training relevant to clinical specialty.
