Position Overview

At TFAS Wealth, we are dedicated to delivering completely independent and transparent financial guidance, all conveniently provided remotely throughout the UK. The Lead Paraplanner will take charge of conducting research and generating reports that align with the company's standards for quality and key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will recognize the significance of building relationships and will possess exceptional motivation and determination, alongside a methodical and diligent work ethic. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding written communication abilities, excellent attention to detail, and a strong capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize their workload effectively.

  • Standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:30 (with a 16:00 finish on Fridays).
  • This position is primarily office-based, with the option for 1-2 remote working days each week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and research to develop appropriate recommendations for clients.

Report Generation: Produce high-quality suitability reports promptly and to a professional standard.

Issue Resolution: Tackle operational challenges swiftly, providing solutions and fostering a proactive problem-solving culture.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new products, technical advancements, and legislative changes in the marketplace to maintain current knowledge.

Documentation Precision: Ensure all supporting documentation is completed with accuracy and attention to detail.

Performance Management: Uphold performance standards as outlined in the Key Performance Indicators.

Mentorship: Offer guidance and training to the Paraplanning Team, aiding in the enhancement of their skills and knowledge.

Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure seamless coordination and information sharing.

Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
Desirable: Level 6 Diploma in Financial Planning

EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Significant experience (minimum of 3 years) in paraplanning, particularly in supporting pension accumulation and decumulation advice.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear and simple manner.
  • Experience in conducting thorough research and analysis to provide suitable recommendations based on client needs and market conditions.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in completing supporting documentation.

Desirable:

  • Experience in addressing technical queries from team members and clearly articulating the rationale behind recommendations and strategies.
  • Experience in training a paraplanning team and creating efficiencies through systems and processes.
  • Experience in team management.
