Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical leadership to our Tier 4 team based at the St Aubyn Centre in Colchester.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the Tier 4 team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to young people aged 13-18.
- Assess and treat young people with acute, complex, and high-risk presentations, working closely with colleagues across all disciplines.
- Participate in team meetings, ensuring clinical governance activities are maintained, including quality and management meetings.
- Supervise trainee doctors, including acting as a clinical supervisor, and contribute to the training of core trainees.
- Collaborate with colleagues to cover absences due to annual leave and study leave, and short-term sickness.
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register.
- Meets Royal College of Psychiatrists criteria for appointment to the post of Consultant.
- Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status.
