As a leading provider of complex warships and combat management systems to the UK Royal Navy's surface fleet, we offer a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of complex mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

As an undergraduate, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of complex mechanical systems, applying scientific principles and technical information to generate concept ideas and turn them into viable solutions. You will learn how to use 3D modelling and analysis tools to factor in considerations such as materials, manufacture, assembly, cost, and performance.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex mechanical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of systems and sub-systems. You will identify and mitigate failure modes, support the identification of safety hazards, and assess and mitigate safety risk.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, or Marine Engineering. You must also be returning to university to complete your degree.
