Exciting Opportunity:

A temporary contract with a local authority is available for a committed professional to collaborate with senior personnel at designated educational institutions. The main duty will be to ensure adherence to the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEN Code of Practice 2015.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with parents, guardians, and children to promote a clear and inclusive needs assessment procedure.
  • Offer guidance and constructive feedback to educational establishments during the needs assessment and review phases.
  • Formulate Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) in collaboration with parents and professionals, ensuring complete compliance with established regulations.
  • Assist individuals in identifying realistic aspirations and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in local authority SEND procedures.
  • Capability to draft EHCPs or statements of special educational needs.
  • Direct engagement with educational entities such as schools or colleges.

Qualifications:

A solid educational foundation equivalent to A-levels, including GCSE English.

Additional Details:

Full-time role, 35 hours per week
- Working hours from 09:00 am to 17:00 pm
- Enhanced DBS check required
