Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Whitby site. As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment, including fault-finding and electrical installations
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical inspections to identify potential issues
- Collaborating with other engineers and production staff to resolve maintenance issues
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Requirements
- Apprenticeship in electrical maintenance and at least 12 months of practical engineering experience
- Experience of working with 3-phase distribution and electrical services up to 415V
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
