Accounts Assistant Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at NC Associates in Runcorn. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile purchase invoices, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Manage supplier statements and ensure all invoices are recorded and entered into our accounting system using the correct nominal codes and department coding.
- Authorise payments and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Support the production of management accounts and year-end reporting.
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly invoices are processed and ready for management accounts in a timely manner.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
- Raise manual invoices, process automatic recurring invoices, and manage collections.
- Set up new supplier and customer accounts and amend existing details as necessary.
- Manage credit control duties, including requests for payments from creditors.
- Process employee expenses and manage supplier relationships.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Working experience of Sage 50 accounts is advantageous.
- Good IT skills and knowledge of using Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Positive and flexible approach to work.
