We are currently seeking highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineers to join our team on a contract basis in Staines, UK.

About the Role

As a Senior Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for the execution of project work, ensuring compliance with Discipline Design Instructions, Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour, cost budgets, and project schedule targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute project work in accordance with project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality control procedures
  • Collaborate with other execution centers around the world to facilitate effective work share
  • Develop and implement control and instrumentation scope on projects
  • Manage project budgets and schedules
Requirements
  • BSc Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or relevant engineering degree
  • Extensive experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry
  • Project experience in gas plants, refineries, or similar industries
  • Knowledge of basic instrumentation and control, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis
  • Experience in instrument selection and implementation in process applications
  • Knowledge of boiler control, process heater control, and process furnace control
  • Knowledge of materials and material selection for in-line instrumentation
  • Experience with electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling, wiring methods, grounding, materials, and control circuits
  • Knowledge of national and international standards, including ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC
  • Field experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries with a wide variety of instrument and control installations
  • Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) implementation
  • Experience with Foundation Fieldbus and selected project vendor's PCS
  • Computer literacy with advanced level of experience in office and technical software
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
