About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Estimator to join our team at a well-established sub-contract CNC machine shop. As a Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for taking initial enquiries and deciding whether to quote for new projects. If the project is worth quoting for, you will need to accurately estimate the time and cost of production, ensuring the company achieves the correct margins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take initial enquiries and decide whether to quote for new projects
  • Estimate the time and cost of production for new projects
  • Work with the engineering team to determine the method of manufacture
  • Ensure the company achieves the correct margins on new projects
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a machine shop background at supervisory level, with commercial experience or an existing Sales Engineer or Sales Estimator who is looking to move on. You will need to have high levels of numeracy and computer literacy, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
