Senior Python Developer Opportunity

Referment is collaborating with a leading hedge fund to find a highly experienced Senior Python Developer to join their Core Engineering team in London. This firm is committed to leveraging the best technologies and practices to maintain its competitive edge in the buy-side space.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Python Developer to partner with portfolio management and technology teams to define architecture standards and implement best cloud practices for their core technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution of their systems and oversee the delivery of software and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to ensure the company is utilizing best-in-breed technologies across the stack.
  • Develop and implement software solutions using Python and other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and distributed, high-throughput systems.
  • Work with configuration and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and implementing software, preferably using Python.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Software engineering experience with Python and one other object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.
  • Experience with configuration and infrastructure as code.
