About the Role:

Hightown Housing Association is a leading provider of housing and support services in the UK. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Assistant Support Worker to join our team in Hertfordshire.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic individual to provide support to our service users with their day-to-day needs within their own homes. As a Female Assistant Support Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated team to provide assistance with life skills, such as shopping, managing budgets, and domestic tasks like cooking and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to service users with their day-to-day needs, including assistance with life skills and domestic tasks.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver an excellent service to our service users.
  • Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual's needs, supports their aspirations, and maximises their independence.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is not necessary, as we provide a structured induction and comprehensive training to support you in your role.
  • Ability to work shifts as part of a rota system, including weekend and bank holiday working.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity, and a positive approach to supporting people with learning disabilities.
