Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging in negotiations to secure contracts
  • Building and nurturing relationships with clients, both new and existing
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of pricing documents while adhering to internal review standards
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, ensuring high-quality and competitive tenders are submitted
  • Conducting pre-contract commercial assessments to pinpoint opportunities and risks
  • Performing detailed evaluations of subcontractor and supplier bids for tender submissions
  • Formulating and influencing bidding strategies while analyzing market trends
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, including Health and Safety and Environmental standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong operational knowledge, preferably within the highways industry
  • Experience in pricing various tenders, including those for local authorities and large-scale projects
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional commercial insight and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated sales proficiency and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with NEC 3 and 4 contract forms
  • Experience with Causeway 3 Estimating software is a plus
