This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a patient-focused environment as a Chef. You will be responsible for providing attractive and nutritious meals and refreshments to patients, staff, and visitors within St Oswald's Hospice. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ or AVCE in a related field and relevant food hygiene certification.
About the Role
As a member of the Catering Team, you will take ownership of meal provision and presentation, ensuring a high standard of quality and choice. You will work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide a range of nutritious meals and refreshments to patients, staff, and visitors
• Maintain a high standard of meal presentation and quality
• Work collaboratively with the Catering Team to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations
Person Specification
• Level 3 NVQ or AVCE in a related field
• Relevant food hygiene certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
