We are seeking a highly skilled Multifaceted Facilities Specialist to join our team at BorgWarner. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Bradford Plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all relevant standards and legal requirements to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Support the execution of Risk Assessments, Safety Walks, 5S audits, and Layered Audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure that all working areas are left in a safe and clean state after completing tasks.
  • Dispose of waste in accordance with environmental guidelines and regulations.
  • Elevate concerns regarding non-conforming activities, utilities, and facilities to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Update and maintain Work Instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Embody lean philosophies and processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Participate in consultations for internal and external non-compliance matters.
  • Oversee the upkeep of facilities and standards at the Bradford Plant.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and arrange necessary permits to work.
  • Support facilities project work and contribute to other projects where skills permit.
  • Perform minor building works and installations as required.
  • Book and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Self-allocate tasks using the PM notification system and create notifications as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive culture and uphold BorgWarner's Beliefs and Behaviours, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Basic education level.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Previous experience with DIY skills, such as stud walls and plastering.
  • Hold a recognized qualification in Plumbing, F-Gas, or Gas Safe.
