Sewell Wallis Ltd is collaborating with a private equity-backed organization seeking a Cash Management Accountant to enhance their Finance department.

In this role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing treasury operations, ensuring that effective processes, monitoring, and reporting systems are established to manage cash flow and the extensive network of bank accounts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering user access and monitoring bank account permissions.
  • Engaging with banking institutions on a daily basis and managing refinancing projects, including negotiating fees and interest rates for deposit accounts.
  • Formulating and executing treasury risk management strategies and reporting mechanisms.
  • Leveraging money market opportunities and optimizing surplus cash, including the establishment of cash pooling at the organizational level.
  • Supervising a Senior Treasury Clerk.
  • Conducting restricted cash oversight.
  • Managing bank accounts to ensure compliance with debt obligations (including pledged, blocked, and floating accounts).
  • Performing unallocated cash analysis.
  • Addressing treasury-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a treasury role.
  • Familiarity with treasury management systems, in-house banking, payment factories, and bank connectivity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate treasury management, including complex legal entity structures, cash pooling concepts, cash flow forecasting, and associated risk management instruments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Power BI being advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days in the office).
