About Us:
Shepherd Stubbs is a family-owned organization dedicated to offering engaging and innovative therapeutic services to clients and their families, many of whom we have supported for several years.
Service Delivery:
Therapeutic sessions are conducted in educational settings or clients' homes, tailored to meet individual needs. Most roles involve collaboration within an established multidisciplinary team.
Specialization:
Our organization focuses on assisting clients and young adults with Special Educational Needs, including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Experience with various Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate:
This position is suitable for a band 5/6 therapist interested in specializing or seeking additional hours during evenings or weekends.
Flexibility and Commitment:
While the schedule can be adjusted based on client needs, reliability and dedication are essential expectations from our clients.
Travel Requirements:
The role necessitates travel, which will be compensated, along with additional mileage costs up to a specified limit. Candidates must hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.
Compensation:
The remuneration is set at £50 per hour for direct and indirect client work, alongside £25 per hour for travel (subject to limits) and 45p per mile traveled.
Self-Employment:
Associates will function as self-employed therapists under the guidance of our organization. Support for establishing oneself as a self-employed therapist is available if required.
Additional Opportunities:
In addition to working with individual clients, there is a chance to engage for half a day in a primary mainstream educational institution and a full day in a secondary special education setting.
