About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as Head of Department for Pathways. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of educators and support staff to deliver high-quality programs and services that meet the needs of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement, working closely with colleagues across the institution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that our programs and services are aligned with government initiatives and statutory requirements.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective delivery of services and programs.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote inclusive education and student wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Level 7 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of improving student outcomes and achievement.
  • Strong knowledge of government initiatives related to SEND provision and experience implementing SEND strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners and contribute to a culture of inclusivity and respect.
