Job Overview

**Senior Hydrologist Position**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrologist to join our team at Allen & York, a specialist environmental consultancy. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in flood risk management and SuDS, with a proven track record in delivering project-specific assessments and designs for flood mitigation and SuDS schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor junior members of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Develop and implement flood risk management strategies for clients across various sectors, including retail, commercial, and residential housing developments.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative SuDS designs and flood mitigation schemes.

Requirements:

  • Hold or be working towards chartership with a relevant professional body.
  • Hold a relevant Masters or PhD degree in a field related to hydrology or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in flood risk management and SuDS, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior staff members.
