Platform Engineering Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Platform Engineering Lead to oversee and maintain our cloud and infrastructure operations across multiple environments. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our platform as we continue to innovate in the virtual payment technology space. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various departments, including product, data, security, and service teams, to ensure our infrastructure meets client expectations and supports key business objectives.

  1. Lead the implementation and maintenance of cloud and infrastructure systems, including private and public cloud-based servers, storage, networks, and security.
  2. Direct teams to standardize platforms, supporting efficient product deployment pipelines and meeting critical release schedules.
  3. Guide teams in enhancing the observability and reliability of infrastructure performance.
  4. Oversee global cloud engineering teams operating across different time zones, ensuring continuous operation and support.
  5. Expertise in implementing and migrating to public cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  6. At least 4 years' experience in an infrastructure or IT management role.
  7. Familiarity with tools like Datadog and ServiceNow is advantageous.
  8. Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Platform Engineering Lead at CV Library, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing cloud infrastructure strategies to support business growth.
  2. Leading cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based systems.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure requirements.
  4. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security and governance.
  5. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management and engineering.
  2. Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  3. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
  5. Knowledge of cloud-based tools and technologies, such as Azure.
