About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academic Mentor to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons across KS5, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Resource Management: Help to organise resources, ensuring that all are prepared and available for lessons.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments.
  • Enrichment Activities: Support the development and delivery of extracurricular activities.

About You:

  • Graduate: Ideally you will hold a degree, or have experience working with secondary school students.
  • Passionate: A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire young people.
  • Organised: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Communicative: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
