Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Commercial Property Solicitor to join our Reading-based Real Estate team. As a key member of the team, you will work on a wide range of property matters, including leases, secured lending, and corporate support.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in property law and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as undertaking due diligence tasks and working closely with our Banking, Corporate, and Insolvency Teams.

Our ideal candidate will have a commercial approach and be able to explain complex matters to clients without a legal background. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical ability and business development skills within a supportive and thriving team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and/or taking full responsibility for deals by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, licences, transfers, deeds, etc.
  • Undertaking due diligence tasks by reviewing and reporting on title, raising enquiries, reviewing searches
  • Dealing with secured lending and corporate support transactions and working closely with our Banking, Corporate, and Insolvency Teams
  • Liaising with clients and lawyers on the other side of transactions
  • Obtaining quotes for indemnity policies, liaising with insurance brokers and underwriters as appropriate
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Attending client or all parties' meetings
  • Participating in business development events
