About the Role:
As a CNC Machine Profile Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC profiling machinery (Bystronic/Esprit/Trumpf) as directed by your supervisor to produce a variety of high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
Reporting to the Profiling Team Leader, you will collaborate with the profile machining team to ensure that all products adhere to the required quality standards, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the machine operation plan according to specified timelines and drawings, promptly reporting any deviations.
- Methodically complete tasks to maintain quality standards, even under time constraints.
- Maximize machine utilization while minimizing downtime.
- Communicate any issues to your team leader or production manager to avoid disruptions in the production schedule.
- Prepare and load raw materials and components onto the machines.
- Set up and operate machinery to fabricate parts.
- Maintain equipment and ensure availability of necessary spare parts, performing maintenance as needed.
- Supervise machinery operations and make adjustments to ensure quality output.
- Conduct operations such as drilling, tapping, sawing, grinding, bending, and finishing as required.
- Ensure that consumable materials are stocked and notify the appropriate channels of low inventory levels.
- Maintain organized storage and identification of raw materials.
- Provide accurate documentation as necessary.
- Ensure product traceability and compliance with required standards.
- Offer guidance and expertise in machine setup, operation, training, and problem-solving.
- Train others as needed, ensuring trainees understand tasks and can perform them safely and efficiently.
- Support overall quality performance and adhere to quality policies and procedures.- Maintain established housekeeping standards for equipment and work areas.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by your Team Leader, Production Manager, or Senior Management.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Essential / Desirable:
- Knowledge of CNC profiling is essential (Laser / Plasma / Waterjet).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- IT skills.
- FLT and Crane licenses are desirable.
- 1-2 years of CNC profiling experience on machines such as Plasma (Esprit/Hypertherm), Waterjet (Bystronic/Flow), or Laser (Trumpf).
- Ability to use measuring tools, including tape measures and Vernier calipers, is essential.
- Understanding of various material grades is essential.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
