About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be a leading member of our well-established community children and young people's mental health service, providing input to the Preston CYP service and Royal Preston Hospital A&E and Paediatric ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in child and adolescent mental health services.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans and interventions for children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide emergency cover as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months.
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months.
  • AC status or within 3 months.
  • Knowledge, experience and skills relevant to this role.
