Database Engineer Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support the administration and monitoring of databases for one of our client's new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer and monitor databases to ensure optimal performance and security.
  2. Develop and implement database solutions to meet business requirements.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database infrastructure.
  4. Provide technical guidance and support to database users.

Requirements:

  1. VMWare / Virtualisation experience.
  2. Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation and database task management.
  3. Familiarity with both Windows Server and Unix/Linux operating systems.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with DB2 database.
