Position Overview

Role- Engineering Product Lead

Location- Flexible (hybrid/remote options available)

Employment Type- Permanent

Compensation- £50,000 - £85,000 annually (based on experience)

Premier Group Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Product Lead to join a distinguished manufacturer specializing in the Oil & Gas, Subsea, and Renewable Energy sectors. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid or remote working arrangements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a comparable Mechanical or Hydraulic Design position
  • Demonstrated success in advancing products from initial design to commercial availability
  • Experience in establishing and executing new ERP systems
  • Proven track record in team leadership
  • Background in a small business environment with a focus on growth
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor or equivalent
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Subsea, Renewables, Hydraulics, or related industries is advantageous
  • Capability to drive engineering innovation
  • Strong mathematical and engineering fundamentals
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing techniques and materials, including sheet metal, castings, and machining
  • Ability to comprehend system specifications
  • Self-driven with a keen eye for detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a team dedicated to the company's product offerings
  • Engaging in Engineering/Design while supervising New Product Development and Introduction initiatives
  • Guiding projects from concept through to market launch
  • Contributing to the technical enhancement of existing products
  • Maintaining communication with clients regarding project updates
  • Creating technical documentation as necessary
  • Providing technical assistance
  • Identifying and selecting necessary components
