Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Reactive Electrical Engineer to provide exceptional mechanical and electrical maintenance support at our facility.

Shift Details:
This role involves working on a shift basis, with a rotation of 7 days on and 7 days off, alternating between day and night shifts.

Salary:
The annual compensation for this position is £41,028.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Reactive Electrical Engineer, your primary duties will include:

  • Delivering efficient repair services and conducting routine preventative maintenance.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Performing mechanical and electrical repairs as directed by the engineering team or shift manager.
  • Proactively identifying faults and maintaining quality standards through effective zonal ownership.
  • Completing tasks assigned by the matrix manager, focusing on both proactive and reactive maintenance.
  • Supporting the mechanical technical team in enhancing their engineering skills.
  • Addressing any production machine issues that may impact operations or safety.
  • Facilitating the development of autonomous maintenance by enhancing operator knowledge and updating operational standards.
  • Executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with company standards.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives for processes and machinery.
  • Managing project themes as determined by the engineering leadership.
  • Innovating machine setups and modifications for enhanced performance.
  • Communicating effectively with the incoming maintenance engineer regarding the status of production lines and ongoing repairs.
  • Minimizing waste through lean principles and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Keeping accurate records in compliance with company requirements.
  • Ensuring adherence to ISO/BRC standards.
