Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Hd6. As a key member of our electrical services department, you will be responsible for compiling accurate tender costs that are attractive to our clients and profitable for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Company Health and Safety Policy: Ensure that you read, understand, and adhere to our Company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of commercial confidentiality in all aspects of your employment.
- Professional Approach: Adopt a non-adversarial, non-confrontational, and professional approach in all interactions.
- Sub-Contractor Selection: Select possible sub-contractors to approach on a commercial and technical basis.
- Tender Costing: Input quantities into our computer system for pricing and summarise tender build-ups using our computer programme.
- Supplier Management: Establish specified suppliers/sub-contractors from project specifications under the direction of our estimators.
- Enquiry and Quotation Management: Make contact with and send out enquiries to suppliers/sub-contractors, and maintain contact to ensure quotations are received in requested timescales.
- General Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping tasks, including archiving hard copy tender files.
