Draughts Specialist

Meridian Business Support Limited is seeking a skilled Draughts Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Projects Department, you will be responsible for generating, reviewing, and maintaining 2D drawings to company and customer standards using AutoCAD.

• Coordinate and formalize AutoCAD drawing formats and standards for the company.
• Produce and update a range of electrical, mechanical, and functionally descriptive CAD drawings.
• Compile basic design level modifications and drafts from project leaders.
• Provide formal and informal guidance on drawing practices to other engineers.
• Manage the release of drawings for production and control drawing issue.
• Maintain company drawing standards and technical records.

• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, good at working within a team environment.
• Flexible, versatile, self-motivated, fast learner, results-focused, willing to give additional input as and when required to meet customer requirements.
• A minimum of 3 years' track record in CAD experience working in any engineering industry, preferably using AutoCAD 2D or 3D.
• Experience using similar packages such as Inventor or SolidWorks would be advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge and experience of drawing changes procedures and revision control as well as basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001) is required.
• Compiling portable and composite documents using.pdf software tools.
• Ability to handle dynamic workloads and priorities.
