The successful candidate will collaborate with local healthcare practices and teams to evaluate their operational methods and explore innovative models aimed at improving patient outcomes in cancer treatment. Strong facilitation and persuasive skills are essential for this role, as it involves presenting evidence and working closely with various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess or quickly acquire knowledge of emerging trends in both international and national cancer research, particularly concerning early diagnosis, follow-up models, rehabilitation, and ongoing support for cancer patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with local healthcare practices and clusters to drive change and enhance service delivery for cancer patients in primary and community settings.
- Strengthen the educational framework and skill set of primary care teams regarding comprehensive cancer care and survivorship by promoting relevant training programs, tools, and resources.
- Contribute to existing and new educational initiatives to bolster the knowledge of primary care teams.
- Utilize insights from the Wales Cancer Patient Experience Survey to inform discussions on service enhancements that support cancer patients.
- Improve the availability of information for cancer patients and encourage GP practices to disseminate this information, fostering a better understanding of their conditions and treatments.
- Provide professional clinical leadership and guidance on pertinent issues from a primary care perspective.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified medical professional
- Full registration with GMC without conditions
Essential Experience and Knowledge:
- Must be a practicing GP, Medical Consultant, or Specialty Doctor
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Essential Abilities and Personal Qualities:
