Position Overview:

We are seeking a Legal Consultant to join our team at Essential Employment. This role offers a competitive rate of £24.91 per hour.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of two days per week from the office.

Team Structure:

Legal Consultants will operate within three distinct teams in the Legal Services Department: Litigation, Operations, and Vulnerability. While each consultant will primarily focus on one team, flexibility to assist in other areas is essential based on business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an LLB (Hons) degree at a second-class standard or an equivalent degree with commendation in CPE.

Must be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CFILEX.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing contentious legal matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal principles, relevant legislation, case law, and police law.
  • Capability to manage a diverse and substantial caseload while providing clear and concise legal advice.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, offering flexible solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and effective collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong research and investigative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking abilities and adaptability to rapidly changing situations.
  • Proficiency in IT, including the ability to navigate specialized databases and systems.
