We are currently seeking a dedicated HSEA Supervisor for our esteemed client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas sector.
This role involves providing oversight and guidance to contractors engaged in the project, ensuring that operations are conducted safely and in compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, with the capability to thrive in a rotational offshore setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all HSE-related matters, offering support during decommissioning operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and both internal and external reporting requirements.
- Monitor decommissioning activities to uphold health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Engage actively in risk assessment discussions.
- Enforce the 'Stop the Job' policy when necessary.
- Facilitate and participate in safety meetings to communicate essential HSE topics.
- Guarantee adherence to the Common Operations Notification (CON) requirements.
- Maintain compliance with the Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) Matrix.
- Act as the custodian of HSE documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Offshore Survival certification to OGUK Standard or an equivalent qualification.
- Comprehensive understanding of external regulations and approved codes of practice relevant to HSE operations.
- Prior offshore experience with a multi-disciplinary contracting firm.
- Proficient in risk assessment, incident investigation, and auditing processes.
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate (Diploma preferred).
- Occupational Hygiene qualifications (Core modules in Asbestos, COSHH, Noise, Vibration) are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Radiation Protection Supervisor certification is preferred but not essential.
Additional Information:
This position is based offshore, with a shift rotation of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, requiring 12-hour workdays. Competitive PAYE rates are offered, along with mileage reimbursement for travel and accommodation arrangements as needed.
