Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering and Compliance to join our team at Mitie. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and for driving improvement initiatives within the technical environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all technical activities, including asset maintenance, lifecycle management, and technical root cause analysis.
  • Develop and implement effective compliance strategies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all technical activities, including PPMs, corrective and remedial works, and asset information.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of technical activities and compliance status.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the facilities manager and other stakeholders as required.
  • Manage and develop a team of technical professionals to provide a high-quality technical service.
Requirements
  • Hold Electrical, Mechanical or Refrigeration technical qualifications, and have relevant experience.
  • Have a strong understanding of statutory requirements in a technical environment.
  • Have experience of working in a heavily regulated environment.
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Have a good understanding of risk management and HSE.
  • Have excellent computer skills, including all Microsoft products and Power BI.
  • Hold IOSH Managing safely certification.
  • Have excellent customer care and relationship building skills.
  • Be able to work as a member of a team and work without direct supervision.
  • Be able to conduct surveys throughout client sites and deal directly with customers in a professional manner.
