Residential Childcare Manager

Kent County Council seeks a dedicated Residential Childcare Manager to oversee the care of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) children within our residential homes.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring these vulnerable young people receive the highest quality of care and support during their time in Kent.
Your Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of dedicated staff to provide comprehensive care for UAS children, meeting their individual needs and promoting their well-being.
- Ensure that all aspects of care adhere to stringent Ofsted regulations and best practices within the residential childcare sector.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to your team, fostering a positive and nurturing work environment.
- Champion social care values and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing services for children and young people in our care.
- Possess a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislative frameworks governing residential childcare.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage a team of professionals.
