We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead our weekend service in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the service, managing a small team, and promoting the Build on Belief mission to offer a place where clients, users, and volunteers can get ongoing peer support.
Key Responsibilities- Service Management: The Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the service is run in line with the Build on Belief mission, core values, and policies and procedures.
- Staff Management: The Service Manager will supervise a small team, ensuring compliance with timesheets, annual leave policy, reporting absence, and accurate financial records.
- Finance: The Service Manager will be responsible for all financial accounting and reporting related to the day-to-day running of the service.
- Training: The Service Manager will ensure that they, and/or their team deliver workshops to volunteers three times per calendar year.
- Incident Reporting: The Service Manager will ensure that incident reporting is done within the guidelines and timelines set out in the policies and procedures.
- Relationship Management: The Service Manager will work in partnership with service providers to ensure effective relationships and community engagement.
- Experience of working with service users and/or volunteers in the substance misuse treatment and recovery field or those with complex needs.
- Proven people management skills.
- Knowledge of the range of services and activities available to improve the quality of life for people who have substance use issues.
- Good computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexible and empathetic attitude.
- Empathy with staff and volunteers who may be in treatment/recovery.
