Exciting Opportunity for a Skills Centre Manager

Harris Hill Charity Recruitment Specialists is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Skills Centre and Social Hub. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults with a wide range of needs to become active members of their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a medium-sized team of activity coordinators to ensure the smooth operational running of the Skills Centre.
  • Develop and implement a vibrant and refreshed timetable of activities and events that promote independence, wellbeing, and choice.
  • Produce KPI reports and manage budget with support from the CEO and Head of Finance.
  • Collect, record, and store confidential information about service users in the form of up-to-date files and a daily register of attendance.
  • Carry out and update risk assessments, care plans, and daily records to support annual reviews.
  • Oversee the transformation of the Café into a fully operational social hub.
  • Engage with the wider community to promote the social inclusion of beneficiaries and the service.
  • Build and foster relationships with professionals from adult social care and health authorities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting adults with disabilities.
  • Experience working in an activities centre in a management position.
  • General understanding of the operational needs of a day centre/skills centre within a social care setting.
  • Understanding of health and wellbeing leading to meaningful relationships.
  • Computer literacy and experience using or teaching others how to use Microsoft Office.
