Position Summary:

UNITUS Recruitment Ltd is in search of a proficient and meticulous Finance Manager to oversee the preparation and auditing of financial statements for a large-scale enterprise with diverse subsidiaries. This position demands a robust background in finance and accounting, alongside familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP. The ideal candidate will handle various accounting responsibilities, generate financial reports, and provide valuable insights to guide business strategies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly financial statements.
  • Supervise and coordinate the audit procedures.
  • Review and execute internal journal entries.
  • Administer the SAP ERP system.
  • Draft and dispatch overdue notifications and debtor statements.
  • Compile reports for sales personnel and update RA_SE balances.
  • Produce and evaluate sales reports and performance metrics.
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger and oversee insurance entries.
  • Conduct year-end analysis and prepare financials for accountants.
  • Reconcile and record hire purchase transactions.
  • Conduct weekly assessments of individual cost centre P&Ls to ensure accurate cost allocations, addressing any discrepancies with the Head of Finance.
  • Provide analysis and commentary on significant variances in monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare additional KPIs alongside monthly financial statements on a rolling 6-month basis:
    • Cost per unit sold
    • Medicine/vaccine usage per unit sold
    • Energy consumption per unit sold
    • Salary expenses per unit sold
  • Enhance the recording of raw material inputs into Hill House Mill.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to establish accounting policies.
  • Oversee a team of two employees within your department.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICAEW, or ACA.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively.
