About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Country Finance Team at EG Group's Head Office. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, assisting in year-end audits, and supporting project work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.
  • Production and posting of key journals, including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
  • Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams.
  • Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.
  • Assist in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
  • Assisting in year-end statutory audit process.
  • Other ad hoc projects as required by Finance Director or Financial Controller.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings on acquisition/disposal of assets.
  • Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to facilitate a smooth month-end process.
  • Support variance and trend analysis by site, by GL line item.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or a part-qualified accountant qualified by experience.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Team player.
