Role Responsibilities
As a Manager in our Financial Services Indirect Tax (FS VAT) team, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the scope, execution, and invoicing of client engagements, delivering high-quality technical advice to a diverse clientele ranging from large corporations to non-profit organizations.
- Ensuring compliance with the firm's risk management protocols throughout the client engagement process, from initial onboarding to project completion.
- Mentoring junior staff in research and production of work that aligns with the firm's quality standards, while also supporting Directors and Partners.
- Providing relevant technical advice on various Indirect Tax issues, substantiating your recommendations with a solid understanding of legislation, case law, and technical analysis.
- Producing technical documentation that requires minimal review and effectively communicates key points to clients and stakeholders.
- Reviewing the work produced by other team members to ensure quality and accuracy.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for the Indirect Tax Manager position, you should possess a minimum of experience in Indirect/VAT Taxes, ideally from an advisory or in-house context. A relevant tax qualification (CTA/ATT) is preferred. The following skills would be advantageous:
- Experience in advising or working with financial institutions on matters such as partial exemption, cross-border supplies, and the implications of recent judgments.
- Proven experience managing a diverse portfolio of Indirect/VAT tax clients within the Financial Services sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build long-lasting business relationships.
- Comfort in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, taking the lead on projects to ensure successful outcomes.
- Expertise in advising on complex technical indirect tax issues.
