**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our logistics operations in Basildon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our clients' offices and warehouses, ensuring the smooth running of operations and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain a High-Performing Branch Facility: Oversee the development and maintenance of a high-performing branch facility, ensuring it meets the company's operational standards and customer expectations.
  • Implement Strategic and Operational Plans: Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to meet business objectives and goals, including transportation and warehousing services.
  • Manage Employees and Operations: Train, measure, and manage employees in company operational processes and standards, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Negotiate and Monitor Supplier Contracts: Negotiate and monitor supplier contracts to ensure the best possible rates and services for the company.
  • Oversee Recruitment and Staffing: Oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and monitoring staffing levels to ensure the branch has the necessary resources to meet business demands.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record in Operations Management: Proven experience in leading and managing operations teams, with a strong track record of success in a similar role.
  • Strong Leadership and Financial Analysis Skills: Strong leadership, financial analysis, negotiation, and customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to make informed decisions that drive business growth.
  • Knowledge and Experience in Transportation Modes: Knowledge and experience in ocean and road transportation modes, with a preference for air transportation experience.
  • Experience in 3PL and Warehousing Activities: Experience in 3PL and warehousing activities, including the management of transportation and warehousing services.
