Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in the financial operations of Denver Health, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate comprehensive monthly financial reports for the finance division, serving as a quality control measure for executive financial presentations.
- Support the preparation of year-end audit documentation and evaluate expenditures related to Special Revenue Funds (SRFs).
- Oversee the approval processes and the establishment of activities within HRIS systems pertaining to SRFs.
- Participate in departmental meetings to communicate and coordinate on SRF funding matters.
- Accountable for the quality assurance of the monthly CFO report and the development of supplementary reports for the finance team.
- Collaborate with the Controller to finalize year-end audit reports and generate various monthly and quarterly financial documents.
- Engage in ad hoc financial projects as required by the department.
- Ensure that data management procedures are thoroughly documented to facilitate effective cross-training among team members.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analyst or accounting capacity is essential.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on process enhancement.
- Capability to conduct financial analyses and perform reconciliations effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, report generation, and database management.
- Familiarity with Lawson software is advantageous.
