Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Test Engineer to join their team at a large engineering company in the power generation sector.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing large machinery used in the power generation sector, including LV and HV electrical equipment. The role requires experience with understanding and testing large machinery and HV electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete static and dynamic electrical tests on a range of LV and HV equipment
  • Take accurate notes and produce test reports
  • Assist in providing accurate information to clients when required
  • Comply with risk assessments and method statements to correctly manage any potential risks during testing

Requirements:

  • Experience with HV electrical testing on rotating machines
  • Ideally ONC / HNC qualifications in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of motors and generators and the testing of them

  • Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4pm, and Friday 7.30am -1pm
