Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Technical Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our business plans and strategies, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and providing leadership and mentorship to teams of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients through a collaborative approach, negotiating with both internal and external partners, clients, and customers.
  2. Business Development: Drive the success of business plans and strategies by identifying and pursuing new opportunities in both public and private sectors, aligning with the Traffic & Parking team's growth objectives.
  3. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to teams of engineers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to deliver high-quality service consistently.
  4. Operational Management: Participate in operational team meetings, contribute to management strategies, and oversee up to six direct reports, conducting annual performance reviews.
  5. Project Management: Manage work programmes and provide expert technical support for Traffic and/or Parking projects, overseeing all transportation and highway schemes from start to finish.
  6. Quality Assurance: Monitor team workloads, address emerging issues, and ensure quality, consistent performance, and technical excellence in all deliverables.
  7. Talent Management: Actively recruit and develop high-quality talent, manage resources, and collaborate cross-regionally to ensure efficient service delivery.
  8. Financial Management: Support regional financial performance through effective management of key accounts, debt, project oversight, staff resourcing, and pipeline analysis.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Degree or equivalent qualification.
  2. Industry Experience: Experience in the traffic and/or parking industry.
  3. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing large teams and substantial budgets at a senior level.
  4. Professional Membership: Membership in a Professional Institute, preferably Chartered with CIHT or ICE.
  5. Technical Expertise: Strong background in quality assurance and technical leadership.
  6. Communication Skills: Proficiency in writing and reviewing technical reports.
  7. Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant legislation, strategic planning, and guidelines.
