We are seeking a highly skilled Silicon Photonics Engineer to join our team at IC Resources in Southampton. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for designing and modelling state-of-the-art silicon photonics devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and model silicon photonics devices using simulation tools such as Lumerical and K-Layout
  • Develop and implement optical component and system designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate photonic devices into larger systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in silicon photonics and apply this knowledge to drive innovation
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with simulation tools and programming languages such as Python or C++
  • Strong understanding of waveguides, modulators, and integrated detectors
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
