Job Description

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hillingdon

Salary: £95 per day

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs, providing support and assistance in a school or care setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with emotional and behavioural difficulties to enable them to access the curriculum
  • Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis to deliver activities and support their learning
  • Assess, evaluate, and report on pupil progress
  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs

Requirements:

  • At least one year of SEN support experience in a school, childcare or care setting
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work with students of varying abilities
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education
  • Be able to provide two professional school-based references
